Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a skilled Project Finance Lawyer with 5-8 years of experience in project finance transactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in drafting and negotiating financing documentation, focusing on supporting complex project finance initiatives.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate principal financing agreements, including loan agreements, security documents, and inter-creditor agreements.
• Provide legal advice and support on project finance transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct legal due diligence, and review project documentation to identify potential risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to effectively structure and execute project finance transactions.
• Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and other documents related to project finance matters.Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in project finance law, preferably focusing on infrastructure and energy projects.
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex financing agreements.
• Strong understanding of financial and business principles relevant to project finance transactions.Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience reviewing project documentation such as engineering contracts, construction agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Familiarity with financing structures commonly used in project finance, including debt financing, equity investments, and tax equity arrangements.Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
