  • Communicate daily with the Site Supervisor regarding job-specific needs, including workforce and equipment requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with job site crews to ensure project timelines, crew needs, and key information are properly addressed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and resolving safety issues or hazards, and keep employees updated on safety procedures and policies.
  • Accurately interpret plans and specifications, and schedule project needs accordingly.
  • Handle hiring and termination of employees as necessary to ensure job completion.
  • Complete daily record-keeping tasks such as logs, job hazard analyses, equipment and trucking schedules, and time cards.
  • Participate in training to stay updated on demolition methods and safety practices.
  • Manage field personnel fairly, addressing performance issues promptly.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and ongoing site meetings to discuss project startup and plans.
  • Provide timely, accurate documentation for safety issues, equipment damage, and workplace injuries.
  • Effectively communicate with employees, management, owners, contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, mechanics, superiors, and office staff.Skills Required
    • Experience overseeing demolition work, specifically for a demolition company.
    • Minimum of 5 years in construction and demolition, with proven knowledge and application in the field.
    • Familiarity with all phases of demolition, from interior/selective to total structural demolition.
    • Experience with state commercial demolition is required.
    • Strong leadership, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to read blueprints for general construction, site work, concrete, and demolition, and highly organized in documenting project activities.
    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with all management levels, employees, vendors, and project partners, both verbally and in writing.
    • Proven understanding of working as a subcontractor for a general contractor, and the project process.
    • Ability to read and interpret policies, reports, plans, and legal documents.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with smart devices.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.
    • Certifications in HAZWOPER, CPR, First Aid, and Asbestos are strongly preferred.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.Education/Training/Certifications
      • High School Diploma or equivalent.Additional Requirements
        • Valid Driver's License and OSHA 30-hour Construction Training are required.
        • Open to relocation.
        • Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 50 hours per week.
