ResponsibilitiesAscension Providence is looking to add a Family Medicine Physician to our busy practice in Waco, Texas.Waco has been recognized as the "Heart of Texas," and is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin with scores of shops and restaurants galore along with excellent parks, a supportive business environment, a low crime rate, diverse housing options, and top-ranked schools. Past FM providers have enjoyed full patient panels. Sharing the same building is a thriving pediatrics practice, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, along with lab & imaging: Ultrasound and CT.Position Details:See approximately 16-22 patients per daySchedule: Monday-Friday, (4-4.5 day work week is possible)Call Schedule: 1:14 phone call onlyPractice Detail: Join our team of 9 providers: 7 physicians, 1 PA and 1 NPCandidates will enjoy our competitive compensation package including: Competitive salary, Relocation allowance, Sign On Bonus, Possible student loan repayment, Generous paid time off program, Multiple health, dental, vision and wellness packages, Annual CME Allotment, 403(b) retirement savings plan with employer match. Responsibilities:

Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.

Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.

Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
