Job Description:
 
We are in the process of a large DataCenter migration initiative starting next month from Irvine CA to Austin TX. For the App/DB migration, we are looking to fill the resource gap to assist with Oracle EBS, Agile, SOA Middleware, Weblogic and other SQL server/tools migrations.
 
I am looking for an Sr. Oracle Application DBA Technical Architect assisting with the following:
 
•DataCenter Migration experience is mandatory.
•Review of planned system architecture for Oracle Applications and supporting technologies. This should encompass the intended configurations and supporting technology software such as database, security & application server(s), load balancing, high availability etc.
•Ensure that the planned migration plan will minimize disruption and minimal changes such as outage time for business application users during the cutover.
•Identify chances for improvements in performance, stability, scalability and operational efficiency with respect to monitoring performance and   health as well as system management.
•Point out any planned architecture that might limit future plans to improve High Availability and eventually develop standard “Service Tiers” based    on business service level requirements.
•Review integration points for possible impact due to new deployment design.
•Assist with the new architecture design and develop maintenance routines for the environments.
•Identify all the integration points for the supported applications and setup the integrations on the migrated applications.
•Assist with the dry runs and deployment planning
Work with the project Management to provide updates and participate in the deployment planning.
•Perform the migrations/Cloning/environment build/configurations for the Oracle and related environments.
•Document all the relevant steps of migration and the reference architecture document for the existing team.
•Work with onsite DBA's and offshore DBA's to make sure all the tasks are identified and executed in the timely manner.
•Team Player.
 
In addition to the Oracle EBiz / Agile applications, we will need support in the tool migration and deployment to cover Kofax, DirectSmile, GetPaid, SOA-PIP to name just a few.
