Responsibilities:

--- Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
--- Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
--- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
--- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
--- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Complete new client consults and provide advice and guidance to clientsIf a settlement or verdict is reached, complete all steps needed to ensure medical providers, law firm and client are paid, liens resolved and litigation finalized adequatelyOversee docket and properly manage deadlines and timeframes to ensure excellent case resolution for clients Provide strategy to maximize value for clients

Qualifications:

--- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
--- Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required
--- Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
--- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
--- Must have a Texas Bar License
--- Must have prior 1 year experience in civil litigation
