organizations. Apply Today! Job Summary of the CT Technologist
Under the general direction of the Director of Imaging Services and
Manager of Imaging Services, and provides health care services by
applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist
in diagnostic or treatment. Performs computed tomography and
related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for
interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and
maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides
appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's conditions
essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Responsibilities of the CT Technologist
- Perform computed tomography procedures.
- Acquire and format all exams in the required setting along with
proper clinical history.
- Plan and direct volume of patients and examinations.
- Maintain a well-cleaned and supplied department at all
times.
- Perform other duties as requested by Director of Imaging
Services or Manager. Qualifications of the CT Technologist
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Required: Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology
approved by the American Medical Association.
- Preferred: One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
- Required: All newly hired employees will need to have the
American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Advanced
Registry in Computed Tomography within 90 days of employment. All
employees will have current MRT license.
- Preferred: 1 year experience as a CT Technologist
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is a
150+ bed acute-care facility located north of Austin, Texas. This
